JAMES BIRKETT Product Design BA - First Class Degree With Honours

Both third year projects were based around a chosen subject, I chose to do toys as it would give me a wide range of products to work with, Honours is based on creating a product for a large issue in todays world.

My honours module took a slight turn away from toys and moved down the route of fun activities that can be done to improve the symptoms of degenerative diseases. The main disease that was chosen was dementia and from my research it was determined that using a mix of concentrated senses allows memories to be easier to recall, from this the CAPSULE was born.

As a very user focused product it required more face to face research then other products allowing me to get to know the issues with the disease and also user preferences on a personal level.
